About SentioGate

SentioGate is a hosted, OpenAI-compatible AI LLM router. You bring your own provider keys, keep paying providers directly at 0% token markup, and send model: "auto" to let the router pick a model for each request.

What SentioGate does

  • One API for many providers. Point any OpenAI SDK at https://api.sentiogate.dev/v1 with a SentioGate key. Anthropic-style clients can use /v1/messages.
  • Bring your own keys (BYOK). Your provider keys live in the Vault, encrypted at rest. Providers bill your accounts directly, and SentioGate adds no token markup.
  • Automatic routing. With model: "auto", SentioGate picks a model among the ones you enabled and automatically falls back to another model if one fails.
  • A free way to start. Accounts without provider keys can use the free community pool, 600 requests per 5 hours per user, with no credit card.

Start with the API docs, see the pricing, or read the guides on rate limits, fallbacks and BYOK.

Who builds it

SentioGate is built by Hisham, a solo founder based in Kochi, India. He builds the product and writes the docs and guides on this site.

The idea is simple: developers who already have provider keys should get failover and one API without paying a percentage on every token or running their own proxy.

What SentioGate is not (yet)

  • Hosted only. There is no self-host option. If you must run the gateway yourself, a self-hosted proxy such as LiteLLM fits better (see the LiteLLM alternative guide).
  • No MCP gateway yet.
  • Basic observability: per-request routing metadata and a usage dashboard, not a full tracing suite. You can export traces to your own Langfuse project.
  • A young service in public beta. Paid Pro and Team plans are coming soon and cannot be bought yet.
